Keväisiä ajatuksia hyvinvointipalveluista

Talven harmaus ja pimeys alkaa pikkuhiljaa väistymään ja keväisistä päivistä olemme saaneet jo nauttia. Talviaika toi tullessaan myös mukavia muistoja.

Joulukauden avajaisista alkaen meillä oli mukavia tapahtumia pitkin talvea. Lasten ilo torilla joulukauden avajaisissa oli mahtava tunnelman nostattaja. Saimme kokea yhteisöllisyyttä ja urheilun jännitystä kiekkojoukkueen kanssa, juhlia menestystäkin yhdessä. Talviriehassa oli samaten paljon iloisia kasvoja. Kaikki nämä saimme järjestää yhdessä yhteistyökumppaneiden kanssa. Pienempiä tapahtumia ja tilaisuuksia on järjestetty säännöllisesti. Elokuvanäytöksiä on pidetty ja karaoketanssit järjestetty kuukausittain. Kulttuurin kotipesässä, kirjastolla, on ollut näyttelyitä mukavasti. Koulun lukuviikko oli onnistunut, toivottavasti lukuinnostus lapsilla jatkuu.

Pitkään odoteltu väliaikainen kuntosalikin saatiin kevätpuolella auki. Tätä kaivattiin kovasti ja onneksi saimme tilan, jossa kuntosaliharrastusta pääsee toteuttamaan. Aukioloaikojen laajentamista ja viikonlopun aukioloja on toivottu myös mutta näillä näkymin emme saa järjestettyä lisää resursseja siihen, että voisimme tämän toiveen toteuttaa. Asia vaatii vielä hieman sinniä siihen saakka, että saamme nuoriso- ja liikuntatalon korjauksen valmiiksi. Sinne suunnittelemme ja toteutamme helpomman kulkumahdollisuuden joustavilla ajoilla. Kuntosalin käyttö jatkuu maksuttomana ainakin touko- ja kesäkuun ajan. Heinäkuussa joudumme pitämään salin suljettuna.

Nuoriso- ja liikuntatalon korjauksen valmistumisesta olemme odotelleet alustavia arvioita. Nyt näyttäisi, että remontti valmistuisi lokakuun lopulla. Kalustamiseen ja tavaroiden paikoille laittamiseen, siivoukseen ja kaikkeen talon aukaisua vaativiin tehtäviin varaamme aikaa loppuvuoden. Toivomme, että talo aukeaa viimeistään tammikuussa -24.

Nuorisopalveluissa olemme ideoineet ja järjestäneet retkiä toiveiden mukaisesti nuorille. Laskettelureissu oli onnistunut ja todella suosittu, myös muut reissut ovat meillä yleensä täynnä. Olemme vahvasti myös panostaneet siihen, että nuoret pääsevät mahdollisimman matalalla kynnyksellä mukaan pienillä kustannuksilla. Haasteena on kustannusten kova nousu kauttaaltaan, erityisesti kuljetuksissa. Liikuntapalveluissa on pidetty tilojen puitteissa ikäihmisten kuntosalia ja ryhmiä, niin hurrin salilla kuin myös Sangin koulun tiloissa. Perhekerhossa saimme myös järjestää pientä jumppaa ja opastusta erityisesti äideille. Frisbeegolf radalle tulee vielä uudet opastetaulut alkukesän aikana, sielläkin ollut jo mukavasti kävijöitä.

Etsivän nuorisotyöntekijä on tehnyt laajasti yhteistyötä koulun, nuorisopalveluiden ja työllisyyspalveluiden kanssa nuorten asioiden edistämiseksi. Tiesitkö muuten, mitä etsivä nuorisotyö on? Etsivä nuorisotyö tarjoaa kaikille alle 29-vuotiaille mahdollisuuden henkilökohtaiseen ohjaukseen ja tukeen. Ensisijaisesti etsivä nuorisotyöntekijä palvelee koulutuksen tai työelämän ulkopuolella olevia nuoria sekä niitä, jotka toivovat apua johonkin itseä askarruttavaan asiaan

TE-uudistus on seuraava tulossa oleva iso muutos. TE-palvelut siirtyvät kunnille 1.1.2025. Uudistuksessa työllisyyden ja yritysten kasvua tukevat julkiset palvelut tulevat osaksi kuntien työllisyys- ja elinvoimatehtäviä. Kuntien vastuulle siirtyvien TE-palveluiden tavoitteena on edistää entisestään kuntien työllisyyttä, osaavan työvoiman saatavuutta ja yritysten kasvua.

Maahanmuuttopalveluissa on riittänyt työtä reilusti koko alkuvuoden ajan. Tammikuussa saapuneessa ryhmässä saapui kiintiöpakolaisia 26 henkilöä, joista 16 on alaikäisiä. Lapset ovat päässeet kouluun ja aikuisten koto-opetus alkaa toukokuussa.

Kesän leirejä, kerhoja, harrastustoimintaa ja tapahtumia olemme suunnitelleet jo melkein valmiiksi. Kesän tukevat tapahtumat löydät Utajärven kunnan nettisivuilta, tapahtumakalenterista. Nuorten kesätyöllistämisen ja yhteistyön kautta olemme saaneet mukavan porukan totuttamaan näitä toimintoja. Toimintojen suunnittelussa koimme tärkeäksi sen, että osallistumiskustannukset ovat kohtuulliset ja pyrimme myös tarjoamaan lämpimän ruoan lapsille kesäkerhossa päivittäin.

Osallistavan budjetin ideointivaiheessa saimme todella hyviä ideoita! Kiitos kaikille ajatuksensa jättäneille. Kävimme kaikki ideat ajatuksella läpi ja osaan reagoimme myös osallistavan budjetoinnin ulkopuolelta. Äänestysvaihe on nyt käynnissä. Muistakaa käydä äänestämässä toukokuun loppuun mennessä.

Spring thoughts about welfare services

The grayness and darkness of winter is slowly starting to move off and we have already been able to enjoy the spring days. Wintertime also brought good memories. During the winter we had lot of great events.

Starting with the opening of the Christmas season, we had nice events throughout the winter. The joy of the children at the market at the opening of the Christmas season was a great mood lifter. We got to experience community and the excitement of sports with the ice hockey team, and celebrate success together. There were also a lot of happy faces in the winter rush. We were able to organize all of these together with our partners. Smaller events and occasions are organized regularly. Film screenings have been held and karaoke dances have been organized every month. The home of culture, the library, has had nice exhibitions. The school's reading week was successful, I hope the children's enthusiasm for reading continues.

The long-awaited temporary gym was also opened in the spring. This was much needed and luckily we got a space where you can practice your gym hobby. Extension of opening hours and weekend opening hours have also been requested, but with these prospects, we cannot organize more resources to be able to fulfill this wish. The matter still requires a bit of patience until we finish the repair of the youth and sports center. We plan and implement an easier way to get there with flexible times. Use of the gym will continue free of charge at least through May and June. In July, we have to keep the hall closed.

We have been waiting for preliminary estimates for the completion of the repair of the youth and sports hall. Now it would seem that the renovation would be completed at the end of October. We reserve time for the rest of the year for furnishing and putting things in place, cleaning and all tasks that require opening the house. We hope that the house will open no later than January -24.

In youth services, we have come up with ideas and organized trips for young people according to wishes. The skiing trip was successful and really popular, our other trips are also usually full. We have also put a lot of effort into ensuring that young people can get involved with the lowest possible threshold and at the lowest possible cost. The challenge is the sharp rise in costs across the board, especially in transportation. In sports services, gymnasiums and groups for the elderly have been held within the premises, both in hurri's hall (hurrin sali) and also in the premises of Sanginkylä school (Sanginkylän koulu). In the family club, we were also able to organize a small workout and guidance, especially for mothers. There will be new signboards on the Frisbeegolf course during the early summer, there have already been a good number of visitors.

The outreach youth worker has cooperated extensively with the school, youth services and employment services to promote youth issues. By the way, did you know what outreach youth work is? Outreach youth work offers everyone under the age of 29 the opportunity for personal guidance and support. Primarily, the searching youth worker serves young people outside of education or working life, as well as those who wish for help with something that worries them

The TE reform is the next big change to come. TE services will be transferred to municipalities on January 1, 2025. In the reform, public services that support the growth of employment and companies will become part of the municipalities' employment and vitality tasks. The goal of TE services, which are transferred to the responsibility of municipalities, is to further promote municipal employment, the availability of skilled labor and the growth of companies.

There has been plenty of work in the immigration services throughout the beginning of the year. In the group that arrived in January, 26 quota refugees arrived, of which 16 are minors. The children have started school and the adults' home education starts in May.

We have almost finished planning summer camps, clubs, hobby activities and events. Events you can find from Utajärvi’s websites event calendar. Through the youth's summer employment and cooperation, we have gotten a nice group to get used to these activities. When planning the activities, we felt it was important that the participation costs are reasonable, and we also strive to offer warm food to the children at the summer club every day.

During the ideation phase of the inclusive budget, we got some really good ideas! Thanks to everyone who left their thoughts. We went through all the ideas with thought, and we also reacted to some of them from outside participatory budgeting. The voting phase is now underway. Remember to vote by the end of May.
